About

Sadaf Skandari, LCSW

Hello! My name is Sadaf Skandari, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. As a first-generation Afghan-American born and raised in the Bay Area, I deeply understand the challenges cultural barriers and stigma can pose to accessing mental health care, especially within marginalized communities. These experiences fuel my commitment to providing a safe, welcoming space for clients from all backgrounds. I utilize evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), and psychoeducation to support my clients. I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, family conflict, and stress related to work or school. Above all, building trust and a strong therapeutic relationship with you is my top priority. In our sessions, I focus on creating a supportive and collaborative environment where we can identify the root causes of your challenges. Together, we'll develop personalized strategies that empower you to navigate emotional and relational difficulties, build coping skills, and make meaningful progress toward your goals. I measure progress through regular check-ins and welcome feedback to ensure our sessions are productive, helpful, and focused on your unique needs. I look forward to supporting you on your journey toward healing and growth.
